Kevin Jellison

Kevin began playing guitar at 12 years old. It became his passion. In high school he was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and a Sentinal Award for excellence in instrumental music. This tradition continued as Kevin pursued performing with various blues bands around L.A. and Orange County. Kevin began working with the original pop/rock band Moisture. Moisture gained a large and devoted following. They recorded two albums, the first one catching the interest of Interscope Records which began a roller coaster ride for the band! They performed on the USA Network which garnered more acclaim, and demands for the band to perform all over the country. During this period Kevin did recording sessions with Rod McKuen and worked with Dave Tyson (Black Velvet-Allana Myles). After the demise of Moisture, Kevin continued performing and recording in various projects, and began teaching guitar at Lifetime Music Academy. He also began studying classical guitar under John Schneiderman (UCI guitar program). Today, Kevin continues to record and perform with Bob Gentry (formerly of Moisture) and continues to teach. Many of his students have been with him for many years, and are beginning on their own musical journeys!
