Dear Olga, Thank you for another wonderful year of instruction. We are so pleased with the progress “D” is making in his music education. But most of all, thank you for being supportive to “D” , who is easily frustrated. A lesser teacher could not have fostered the love and enjoyment “D” is getting from his music.

Private Lessons

Guitar

Guitar lessons are best started 8 years or older. Lessons are not just “What do you want to learn this week?”. Our lessons are methodic, focusing on theory, rhythm, technique, ear training and music appreciation. All styles are taught, including Rock, Heavy Metal, Blues, Pop, Jazz and Classical. Students will learn to read music, TAB, chord charts, lead sheets and fake books. We provide two recitals per year in January and June. Classical students are also eligible to perform at the Orange County Guitar Circle. Many of our guitar students also join our Rock Band program, which also provides more performance opportunities!

Piano

Piano lessons can be started as early as 4-5 years old. Students learn theory, rhythm, technique, ear training, classical repertoire and music history. Our staff are affiliated with Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC), and can enroll students in the Certificate of Merit program (CM). CM is a great way to gauge your students progress, and is recognized by the State of California. We hold two recitals per year in January and June. Many of our piano students also join our Rock Band program, which also provides more performance opportunities!
